Fall colours are in their full splendor. Here are a few shots from a recent drive on the Alaska Highway south from Watson Lake to Whitehorse and a flight to Dawson City.

These two para gliders were spotted from the Alaska Highway outside Whitehorse, near Marsh Lake.

It must be quite a beautiful view from above.

Travel on the Alaska Highway during summer and you’ll see bicycle tourists, travelling hundreds if not thousands of kilometres on epic journeys.

That bold, bright building with formline art is the George Johnston museum in Teslin Yukon.

Fall colours at the Yukon Wildlife Preserve

The preserve allows a look at Yukon animals in their natural habitats. (Note the Lynx, second photo from bottom, has a bird in its mouth!)

Fall colours at Chadburn Lake

Centennial trail in the fall colours

recumbent bikeThe centennial trail is a paved 5km loop near downtown Whitehorse. It’s used by joggers, people walking and bicycles of all types including this recumbent bike.

On the Upper Riverdale trail you can see bright orange, yellow and red colours beginning to blend in with the green leaves.
